Bravenet has lots of great services which are free and easy to use for
website designers who have some experience with building sites. Their services are useful
because the content can be customized to match your website.
I've found a great graphics site
where you can make your own custom headings and buttons online using a wide variety
of fonts, colors and effects! They also show you where to get great font downloads and
some useful clip art. The website is called Flaming
Text. Just one warning, wait to visit the site until you have some time to spend
there, it can be addictive...
Free Graphics Resources (Linkware)
Each artist tells their own requirements for use of their work at
their individual sites. That usually consists of some kind of credit for the work they've
done for you and some type of link back to their page.
Please remember that artistic work is like written work in that it is protected by
copyright laws. Using the work, or intellectual property, of another person without their
permission and without giving them proper credit for their work is misrepresenting their
work as your own. That is theft, and is not in keeping with the Rede. I would like to
thank the artists whose work I have used on my websites, as well as all of the artists
whose work has made this page possible.

Free Website Hosts
This is my favorite host, that's why I like to put my
sites here! esmartstart offers 100 megs of free
space, and many features and choices. You can use their on site HTML editor, upload pages
directly from your computer or use an FTP client.
Tripod is where I originally built
the first incarnation of this site. They have a Trellix-based website building program and
offer 50 megs of free space. The server sometimes spits you out and you have to sign back
in, but this is the site where I found it easiest to build an extensive and decent looking
site when I first started. They do offer tech support and some useful tools.
Free Website Submission Service
Before you sign your website up through this service, make sure you have an email address
to use other than your main one. You have to do the submissions yourself to several
different search engines and listings pages, and they will send you emails back and you
will get a bunch of junk mail.
