Meditation is something that people may not be interested in when they first begin to follow their chosen paths, but will probably find an attraction to as time goes on.
Meditation can help a person to know themself better. It's also a way to gain stronger focus, relieve stress, or to form a deeper relationship with a patron diety.
For me, the most comfortable setting has been in a warm bath, with scented candles and either a guided meditation tape or a CD of natural sounds and/or instrumental music.

I particularly like the Celestine meditation that guides me into an old growth forest, but that is just my personal preference. You should find something that makes you comfortable and relaxed.

The Learning Meditation site gives a great introduction and provided guided meditations, but you need RealPlayer to listen to them.
The World Wide Online Meditation Center is a wonderful resource with free information and advice about meditation. They have a part of the site that sells meditation tapes, but sales don't overwhelm the content of the site.
Meditation Station also offers some valuable information and a message board where you can ask or answer questions.
You can learn about Transcendental Meditation (TM™) as founded by Maharishi Mahresh Yogi at their official site. This technique does not require a change of faith.
Then again, I really like the Tree Meditation page. The picture of the tree is peaceful and the words are very soothing.
There is also a great site called "Deep Relaxation" that explains a technique to be practiced to gain inner conciousness. Their motto is "small changes in 100 days, great changes in 1000 days." They also give advice on the right diet and exercize to reduce stress.

Or, you can check here for the meditation tip of the day.
